Pennsylvania's Month of the Hurricane..

September 2004 will long be remembered as 'Hurricane Month' across Pennsylvania as the remnants of three potent hurricanes affected much of the Commonwealth. The substantial rainfalls within a three week period associated with tropical cyclones Frances (Sep. 8-10), Ivan (Sep. 17-19) and Jeanne (Sep. 27-28) contributed to statewide flooding and one of the wettest months on record. Throughout the state, seven to ten inches of rain fell during these events, with numerous reports exceeding ten inches of precipitation.

This page is a collection of facts, figures, images and resources associated with the heavy rainfalls from Frances, Ivan and Jeanne.
